Incorporating a Live Butterfly Release in Your Wedding
A live butterfly release can be included in a wedding with minimal difficulty. Butterfly Release Company® has supplied live butterflies for weddings for over 20 years. This family-run butterfly farm raises disease-free butterflies and ships only to regions where the species are indigenous, supporting the local environment upon their release.
What Our Wedding Packages Include
Our butterfly wedding packages feature individually Origami-folded release envelopes, customized with a brief imprint and your selected envelope color. Each guest may receive an individual release envelope, enabling them to participate in the butterfly release ceremony—an elegant alternative to traditional rice or bird seed tosses. Additionally, every package includes a beautifully printed copy of the "Indian Wish" for goodwill and prosperity, which can be read as an introduction to your wedding butterfly release. Mass Release Decorator Box Option
One of our most popular and effortless options for a butterfly release is the mass release Decorator Box. This elegant box can be personalized by selecting your preferred type of flower and ribbon color, allowing you to match the Decorator Box to your wedding’s color scheme. During the ceremony, the bride and groom each untie a ribbon, releasing the butterflies together in a captivating display for all your guests to witness. The Decorator Box is available as an additional feature with any wedding package. When selecting your package online, you may choose to skip the envelope option and instead design your own Decorator Box. Painted Lady butterflies are shipped inside the Decorator Box, ready for immediate release. If you wish to combine both individual and mass release experiences, we can accommodate that request. Simply select both the individual release envelopes and the Decorator Box with your package, and provide specific instructions in the Comments Box during checkout to let us know how you would like your butterflies divided.
Shipping and Release Guidelines
Wedding Butterfly Releases must be done during the day with temperatures over 70 degrees. our butterflies will arrive the day before the release date you enter in most cases. To be able to keep the butterflies safe and vibrant, most wedding butterflies are shipped FedEx Priority Overnight to arrive the day before the release date. Monday and Tuesday releases are an exception. Monday releases can be shipped to arrive Saturday and Tuesday releases will ship Monday for a Tuesday delivery. Some holidays may also affect shipping dates. Last minute orders are welcome. Please call for availability for anything less than 72 hours for your butterfly release.
Shipping and Pricing
Shipping is addition to the package price. FedEx Priority Overnight is $40.00 for shipping in the state of Florida, $50.00 for Eastern states and $55.00 for Western states (AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, ND, NM, NV, SD, OR, UT, WA, WY) Saturday delivery for a Sunday release is an additional $15.00 for all states. Shipping cost will be added at check out. Most packages arrive before NOON the day before your Release Date. Some areas may have a later delivery time, your commitment time and tracking number will be emailed when shipped. Tuesday release days will be shipped Monday for delivery on Tuesday. Sunday deliveries for Monday releases are not available.
