A family-owned butterfly farm in Central Florida, raising and shipping live butterflies nationwide since 2002.
We are a husband-and-wife owned and operated business (Chad and Jill). What started as a relaxing hobby of gardening and raising butterflies grew into a full-time passion. Today we specialize in live butterfly releases for weddings, memorials, birthdays, celebrations of life, classrooms, and special events.
Our Story
My grandmother first sparked this love by teaching my sister and me how to grow plants that attracted butterflies. We learned about the miracle of metamorphosis right before our eyes at a very young age. Years later, I returned to that childhood wonder and turned it into a business so others could share the same joy.
Butterflies represent rebirth and new beginnings. For this reason, we wanted to bring this joy not only to couples celebrating their wedding or children celebrating a birthday, but also to families celebrating the life of a loved one.
Our Commitment to Quality
We are actual butterfly breeders — not brokers. This gives us complete quality control over the butterflies we raise. Every butterfly is raised under pristine conditions on an organic diet, carefully fed before being packaged, and shipped overnight.
We only ship species that are indigenous to your area so they can naturally thrive and help support local populations. The primary goal of Butterfly Release Company® is to bring top-quality butterflies and products that add beauty and wonder to life’s special occasions.

Our Environmental Practices
We take pride in helping repopulate the dwindling butterfly population caused by development. One butterfly release at a time, we hope to make a positive difference.
We only use recycled and biodegradable products to raise our butterflies. We also use solar power and reclaimed water, following the “leave no trace” principle learned in childhood and Scouts.
